Erik Lieshout, Arno Hagers and Reinier van Brummelen
Erik Lieshout, Arno Hagers and Reinier van Brummelen have been working together since 1987 and have developed a style of their own. From Chet Baker in ‘The Cafe’, via W. F. Hermans in Paris, the feature film ‘Regrets’, and their commercials, there is a straight line to ‘Last words of Michel Houellebecq’. Film is a multi-disciplinary profession, in their opinion, too diverse to be the domain of one talented person.
But each of these collaborators covers one essential area: each one is closely involved with all aspects from beginning to end. Together they arrive at concepts and solutions. In fact they are like a band, writing numbers together or improvising. They are not afraid to say that the totality of their capacities adds up to more than the sum of the parts.
