Paul Cohen
Born in 1957, Paul Cohen studied journalism in Utrecht and film at the Dutch Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam. Since 1980, he has worked as a camerographer and director for Dutch television. He has also directed his own films which have screened successfully at numerous festivals internationally: his documentaries “Hollandse Helden” (2000) and “Photo Souvenir” were awarded The Golden Calf for Documentary. He co-directed “Photo Souvenir” (2006) together with Martijn van Haalen.
Martijn van Haalen
Martijn van Haalen was born in 1954. He was a puppeteer for some years before he began working as a sound director and director for the Dutch Television channel VPRO. Together with Paul Cohen, he directed “Hollandse Helden” (2000) and “Photo Souvenir” (2006), both awarded the Golden Calf for Documentary in 2001 and 2006.
